This Wednesday, we were honored to document a portion of the “Alabama Tour,” which will be explained in detail in a later blogpost after the rest of the film returns to the studio. In the meantime, we bring you a few images from the Trellis Room kitchen (Battle House Hotel) as they prepared an impressive seven-course meal for four very important guests.
I find it very interesting that after a private jet, police escort, spa treatment, champagne sabering, and exclusive tours, I had the most fun in the kitchen. I’m not sure if it was the community in the kitchen (they are very much like a family) or if it was the kitchen itself, but I thoroughly enjoyed being in the midst of it.

For some reason, I always see movement in the kitchen in black and white.

This is Fondo Di Alba-an Itallian truffle-which is a fungus scouted from the ground by trained hogs and dogs. This box cost $500.

Tiffany in the kitchen thought it was cool too.

This is the closest I’ve ever been to kobe beef. While the meat was still in the package I got to feel its tenderness, and let’s just say beer-fed, massaged cattle makes for very tender meat.

This is Charles Mereday, Executive Chef, putting the finishing touch on the kobe.
