Today we present to you our first 8mm video. Chris and Christi graciously volunteered to have the highlights from their wedding day captured in 8mm, and we are very happy to be diving into a new (new for us, anyway) and exciting medium that we believe compliments our photos very well. Jason did a great job with the video, and we are proud to welcome him to the Studio A Photography family.

Families and children are my favorite people to photograph.  It is always a challenge, for sure, but it’s so rewarding.  Because children want to run free and play, we photographers just simply have to keep up alongside them and snap away.  I recently visited my sister and her family in south Florida, and I saw my new baby nephew for the first time.  My niece, Annie (who always has a grown-up’s phone in hand) is so excited about her baby brother Charlie (or Char-Charlie, as she calls him), and it was so much fun watching her talk to him and give him kisses.  Here are some of my favorite images from the trip.

Yesterday was B is for Bride‘s first annual bridal show held at the Saenger Theater in downtown Mobile. Jenifer Simpson brought a much needed fresh perspective to bridal shows in Mobile, and I hope that others will learn from this particular show’s approach. The turnout was great, and the vendors were fantastic. This is definitely a show brides should be watching for in the future.
